C2 and Graham Maintenance Services agree to 5-year sponsorship

The Bonnyville and District Centennial Centre’s Field House has a new corporate sponsorship.

Graham Maintenance Services, based in Calgary but with local offices, will now have their name attached to many areas of the C2. Graham replaces AECOM, which they acquired in early 2022, becoming Western Canada’s largest construction company.

The partnership will last five years and carries a value of $70,000 over its duration.

General Manager Les Parsons says the field house is an important part of the C2 operations. From the walking track, to pickleball, to various minor sport practices and weddings — it’s a busy nerve of the Centennial Centre.

“We have this great facility. And the sponsorship from Graham helps us to keep the place running so we can offer more programs and more services and keep our costs the same without charging people more, especially during these economic times,” Parsons told Lakeland Connect.

Shawn Jubinville, senior vice-president of Graham Maintenance Services, and Centennial Centre general manager Les Parsons make the five year sponsorship deal official.

Shawn Jubinville, senior vice-president of Graham Maintenance Services, has ties to the local area.

“It was important to continue to show our support to this community that has shown us so much support over the years, and has been such a great place for our employees to live and work,” said Jubinville.

“I grew up playing junior hockey here at the RJ Lalonde Arena. To see now what it’s become and again to have a way to get back to that is really important to me personally, and for the business. It’s great to see Graham supporting this local community in the work we do and great for me to again see the benefit it has here locally to a place I know and love.”

Shawn Jubinville and Les Parsons joined by Mark White, bottom left, Graham’s Cold Lake Office Manager, and Kevin Roth, C2 Marketing & Sales Coordinator.

Various C2 board members as well as Bonnyville mayor Elisa Brosseau and M.D. councillor Darcy Skarsen were on hand for the announcement.

All AECOM signage will be replaced by Graham. The original sponsorship was held by Flint.

The C2 is running various summer camps over the coming weeks, including an “Artastic” Camp, Game-on Camp, and Little Chefs Camp, among others.
