Cold Lake RCMP received a complaint on June 4th, 7:45 am, of a black Chevy truck that had pulled into a yard and then the driver had passed out. S/Sgt. Jeremie Landry says the alleged driver, found in the driveway of a residential property off Highway 897, was grossly intoxicated.

“RCMP arrived and found a man who was sleeping in the driver’s seat, with his head pressed up against the steering wheel,” S/SGt. Landry says police found the keys still in the ignition. RCMP transported the man to the detachment, where he provided two breath samples over the legal limit.

A 32 year old male, from Cold Lake, was charged with impaired care & control of a motor vehicle and impaired care & control of a motor vehicle over 0.08. Court date has been set for July 13th at 10:00 am in Cold Lake.
