M.D. of Bonnyville council will discuss motions to look at getting more connected with their neighbours and their leaders.

On Tuesday, council look at motions to schedule regular meetings, even monthly, with the Mayors of the Town, Cold Lake, and Glendon, as well as the Chiefs of Cold Lake and Kehewin First Nations.

Also, a separate motion will be discussed on trying to schedule monthly meetings with provincial ministries to talk about local issues.

These notice of motions were put forward by councillor Don Slipchuk during the Aug. 12 meeting.

In the past, there has been periodical joint council meetings between the M.D. and Town council, but never recently on a monthly basis.
